Spent my day off today exploring the @qldmuseum exhibit on fashion & queer culture in the 90’s in Magandjin/Brisbane. I was overwhelmed with emotion reading about our town’s history with protests and persistence in the face of hatred and fearmongering (sounds a bit like today, no?). If you can get to the museum before the exhibit closes in June, I would definitely recommend 💖

Our Autistic & ADHD LGBTQIA+ Social Group (ages 25+) has officially kicked off for the year!

We will be running sessions every second Monday at Jeays St Community Centre (Bowen Hills) from 11am-1pm.

The group is low cost ($25 per person per session) and there are NDIS funding options available. It’s run by a queer, non-binary AuDHD social worker (me!) and queer & AuDHD peer/lived experience workers.

this year I:
- got certified in s*x therapy
- registered with SAS (a big goal of mine)
- started my own private practice (a BIG DREAM I’ve had for my pretty much my whole life)
- engaged in advocacy with the HRC re - p*rn codes and got to work closely with Scarlett Alliance (made my sw heart very happy)
- was financially stable enough to leave my other job to focus solely on growing my dream practice
- created & ran 2 training sessions on trans & gender diverse s*x ed
- came on board to be part of an MDT at an autistic inclusive speechie clinic (which means I get to work with more kiddos, yay!!)
- hired my first contractor for my new social group starting next year
